Brown boycotts

UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown will not be attending the Olympic opening ceremony. While Downing Street is trying to spin it as not being a boycott, saying there were never any plans to go, they had talked of doing so in the past, and there was a clear expectation that he would attend.

Nice of him to do the right thing, even if it came too late. So, will our own government show some spine, or are we now utterly subservient to China?
