Appealling II

The National Party is appealling against the Electoral Commission's decision to list the EPMU as a third party. Anything, it seems, to shut down and silence voices who might speak out against their policies.

As previously noted, I think their case is weak, and hopefully the courts will deal with it quickly. Otherwise, we face a real possibility that those with money and lawyers can effectively silence political speech, no matter what the law says. And that is simply unacceptable in a democracy.
