Australian racism

An appalling story of racism from across the Tasman:

Allegations of racism have been levelled against the owners of last year's NSW liquor store of the year after staff were instructed to keep "coloureds" out of the shop unless they were willing to come in individually and be searched - and to call police if they refused.
It's quite illegal, even over there. But sadly, racism hasn't been driven out of the public sphere in Oz the way it has over here.

As for the store-owners excuse - that it was all about shoplifting - you can bet that they wouldn't be banning Pakeha or subjecting them to onerous conditions based on the actions of one individual. That would be wrong. It's clearly a double standard based on race.
