He has it

The Guardian's US election map puts Obama on 202 electoral votes. Combined with the 77 he expects to get from the west coast and Hawaii, that puts him over the magic 270 line, even without Virginia or Florida. America just elected its first black President. Congratulations!

Still waiting to see what happens with the Senate and the House, but things don't look good for the Republicans there either. Which leaves the real question: proposition 8 in California. Will the US's most liberal state ban same-sex marriage, or are they better people than that? Again, I'm hoping America will rise above itself, and show its a decent country, not a hick-bigot theocracy.
