A historic victory

Caroline Lucas has won the seat of Brighton Pavilion, becoming the first ever Green MP elected to Westminster.

Hopefully she won't be the last.

And she's entering at precisely the right time. In a hung parliament she can have significant influence. Plus if the UK moves on electoral reform - and how can they not after the debacle of this election? - she will have established the party on the national stage.
