Australia's gulag-guard quits

Wilson Security currently holds the contract for security services in Australia's Pacific concentration camps on Nauru and Manus Island. But in the wake of leaked documents showing that they lied to Parliament and defrauded the Australian taxpayer, they've decided not to renew the contract:

Wilson Security says it will not renew its contract to run Australia's offshore detention centres in Papua New Guinea and Nauru.

In a statement, the Australian company said it would provide services until its contract expires in October 2017.

The decision follows the announcement by the service provider, Broadspectrum, earlier this year that it, too, would abandon the processing centres.

So, it looks like Australia is going to need new gulag guards. Or, it could close the camps and treat these refugees like human beings, rather than systematically torturing them in pursuit of the racist vote.
