This week, the G8 are meeting in Tōyako, Japan. One of the chief items on their agenda is the current world food crisis. So naturally, they're scoffing down four-course lunches and eight course dinners, with caviar, sea urchin and truffles, while telling the poor to tighten their belts.

And people wonder why aristocrats get lynched in revolutions...
