Politics takes a holiday

Now that the election is over I expect things will be getting a lot quieter in the NZ blogosphere for a while - primarily because there will be little to talk about. While National is currently forming a government, that seems to be going well, and there is likely to be a new Cabinet next week. Meanwhile, because there are no MPs until November 28, Parliament cannot meet until next month. Even then is only likely to meet for two weeks before everyone buggers off on their summer holiday. Real politics won't start until Parliament reconvenes in the new year.

So, basically its the silly season from now until mid-January. Benefits of an election, I guess. But it means the blogs will be starved of real news to comment on, and so likely to be a lot slower. Unless we create our own content, that is.
