Climate change: The latest Gillard backdown

So, having backed down to the mining companies and then to the racists and xenophobes, Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard is now backing down to the polluters, announcing that Australia's ETS will be shelved until 2013. So much for any hope of Australian action on climate change. Instead they're going to go back to the "wait for someone else to do something" strategy favoured by polluters the world over (including in New Zealand) - a strategy which commits us all to doing nothing and watching the planet burn.
