Member's Day

Today is a member's day, and one which may finally see some first readings. There's a private bill to deal with first, then the second reading of David Parker's Minimum Wage (Contractor Remuneration) Amendment Bill, after which its on to the first reding of Marama Fox's Oaths and Declarations (Endorsing the Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi) Amendment Bill (which will apparently fail, National and NZ First being uncomfortable with New Zealand being New Zealand rather than some little piece of England). If the House moves quickly, they'll make a start on Mark Mitchell's Social Security (Stopping Benefit Payments for Offenders who Repeatedly Fail to Comply with Community Sentences) Amendment Bill.

There should be a ballot for at least one bill tomorrow. I wonder what new member's bills we'll see?
